Hello everyone, and welcome to the new and (hopefully soon to be) improved explorermedia.net. Since this site was mainly used for its forum, we had no need of an extensive CMS/portal engine like e107.
So I've ported the entire forums to SMF, with (almost) great success. I say "almost" because I was sadly unable to transfer the attachements, wich for a site like this is the most important thing to have. So for the next few days I will be editing most of your post to manually "re-attach" your files to them. It will take some time so please be patient.
Now for the good news. The porting of our forums to SMF will help alot with:
speed - a forum requires alot less from your internet connection that a full website/CMS/portal engine;
flexibility - SMF way more user-friendly than e107, easier to mod and to use on both the admin and user side;
interactivity - our community will now have access to many features such as karma (thumbs up), better polls, awards, many things that will keep us united as a family.
There are many other things that will be comming.
And on a more personal note, I'm currently working on 3d modelling, so the next step would be attracting the attention of some modellers for tips and trick and of course to show off their work.
Hope to see this community grow.
Thank you.
