just acouple of sketchs ive done on paper and in coraldraw (by the way elgy coreldraw is a good prog, lots of optains and some good brushs)

wow, thats some nice stuff... I use to draw alot, but never could make a horse to look like... well a horse. But you're doing a great work.

Hi Dragon,

Love your work, especially that second picture!!. How did you get that "Feathering" Effect on the Horse's tail it look really good. Is it done with some blur/smudge technique!?

Btw, thanks for the suggestion about CorelDraw. I think I may get it when my new pay packet comes in, especially if this is what it can do!! :)

i think there is a person learning edition of it bro, check it out. i used an acrillic brush (in coral draw) to get what looked like hair (havnt figured out if you can/how to make brushs in coral draw) then yes smudged it alittle. i like the effect would look good on a mythical illustration when i get that far lol

its a bit harder drawing a dragon than a horse, for one thing with a horse i can use photos as referance lol. still once i get something down i should be good to go

I really like the look of those ridges on the back of the neck, the colourscheme is pretty good too!!. He could use BIGGER teeth though, but... hey that's just me!! :)

This is excellent work, Those scales look really good and I like the two-tone colours of the skin. You have my admiration and respect, it's not easy to create something like this from scratch in a graphics program. You've done really well, Have you finished or is there still a little bit more to do!? !lol

I think it looks really good, I've recently bought CorelDraw X3 and I cannot do anything like this!!. Corel can be a bit unwielding, I'm having a tough old time learning it too!! ~:(

oops, forgot to post this in my last post lol.
i was following a photoshop tutorial for smudging colours into a dragon. didnt work out so i picked up my pencil and draw what i was looking at instead lol.

edit:ah here we go, had to edit this with the name of the persons whos work i was looking at lol, Dee Dreslough was the original auther i just looked at her work and sketched it in my sketch pad. i hope i can get her tutorial on smudging down, as what she did with it was pretty damn good.
