Chariot-Class MSD

i know, that this is a controversal non-canon starship design from howard day. some like it, some others hate the chariot-class. in my opinion it is great design for a deep space research explorer.

the USS HUBBLE is a deep space research explorer with enhanced research and sensor abilities. it's equipped with special subspace sensor systems in the keel of the starship to research subspace irregularities and to detect highspeed subspace corridors.

the chariot-class has separation abilities, in fact, to expell the warp core the engineer section with the remarkable keel has to be seperated from the saucer section. a little bit tricky, but i like the idea.

no. the uss hubble is a science vessel and therefore don't need a full weapons equipment. she has phasers and the main torp launcher, which is mainly used as probe launcher, i think.
she also has a strong defensive shield system, which give her enhanced chances to survive in dangereous threat scenarios. normally she would try to prevent combat scenarios.
her main task is deep space exploration.
