Why work on one project when you can work on two ;)

This time I'm re-doing an old project. My custom made U.S.S. Yeager MSD. My idea for this was a ship built almost around the same time as the Defiant (where you'll notice the style). Basically its a small MSD, located at the back of the bridge. Hard to see not as voyant as the Voyager one, but still there.

The style of the Defiant is there with the colour scheme, layout and overall feel.

I improvised a bit for the layout. The reason I've added a panel to the left is that I wanted the MSD to be split in half some how. Didn't want the ship image to be in the exact middle. I think it turned out pretty well. I hope you'll enjoy.

i recognise, that your work on the voyager graphics has influence your style and that's very, very cool for this MSD - 8)

Thanks guys!
means alot comming from you three.

Here's the next part.
These are auxiliary consoles located at the left of the msd. Of course this is just in my head since there are no cannon representation of the bridge.

You'll notice that I'm still going for a Defiant type scheme.

Hope you'll like them.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a rendering of any kind of the bridge as a whole for which these LCARS belong?

I don't but just for you, I've decided to make a floorplan of what my vision of this bridge should be. It's not a masterpiece. It's meant to look like if the production crew would have just mix and match set parts to create a bridge for one episode. But let's face it, that how they usually did it.

I might later on, try to make a 3d version of this bridge. But since modelling isn't one of my talent, it may take awhile.

Thanks for the comments and here's the floorplan.

You're right, it does look like a "set-bash," but still a very cool design! Thanks Explorer (now you just need to make all the LCARS to fill the panels ;) )

Awsome job!!!!!!

Thank you for all the nice comments,
here's a nice little update:

The turbolift display and pad. It was very simple to do. Basically a copy of the Defiant one, but with a slightly different scheme, numbers and room locations.

Hope you'll enjoy.

Thanks again guys,

The next one is the Conn/Helm.
Again based on the U.S.S. Defiant's helm, but with alerations to the layout and scheme to make it fit the console seen in the plan above.
I hope you'll enjoy it.

Thanks guys,
it's always pleasant and motivating getting good comments.

Here's 2 new screens.
The first one is The Yeager Dedication plaque. I didn't put too much effort into it. My basic template for dedication plaques is pretty good, and I'm quite happy how it looks. Notice the Quote at the bottom: " Rules are made from people who aren't willing to make up their own". A quote from Chuck Yeager. He is considered to be the first pilot to go faster than sound.

The second one is a more LCARS feel. This console is my interpretation of the Bottom (keyboard) part of the Science Station, see 04 on the Bridge Floor Plan. This almost an exact replication of the one seen on the Defiant. I didn't feel it necessary to creat a complete new set of LCARS for generic screens like theses. And lets face the the production staff wouldn't have either. Now when I start making the LCARS consoles located right above these, you'll notice a significant change to the look and layout.

Anyway that's all for today.

That's good I like it. I've been toying with that concept doing the consoles for the Enterprise D and altering them for like Nebula class ships and such since they are probably pretty similar.

So would you call this Okuda-Bashing? Or bridge-bashing?

Or would that be like the Engineering consoles on the Enterprise D were bashed together from the pridge consoles? Somthing to think about...should be a whole new line of LCARS design lol.

I wouldn't call it Okuda-Bashing or bridge-bashing, because it sounds way to bad. It's mainly set-recycling.

set-recycling - that's brilliant, explorer! well said.....

Lol true, I was thinking of how they "kit-bash" to make new ships, it's kind of similar to combing or reusing sets and graphics that are similar to show something new.
