I have started this new thread to post here only the things from my book project.

Hereīs the first attempt to create an administration map. Except for the LunarCell map all was handdrawn. :)

looks familiar. i like lunar cell, but when it comes to realistic planet renders, it's a bit too poor in terms of realsitc display. anyway, you did the best with this graphics. keep it up, my friend.

Yep, that is correct. But I think for my purpose it is okay, it has the certain touch you can findin some atlases.

And so the work goes on!
Here some new maps, this time with the borders of the main administration areas, and a list with the areas of Caprica like I think they could be! :)

the most of this planets looks to be more or less worlds with a huge amount of oceanic surfaces. right?

Kmprīrak
03-18-2010, 03:08 PM
Yes, except for Scorpia I still have to publish.

The reason is simple: I thought over and over, and I cannot imagine that a Colonial population of 50 billion people or a different part of it can live without only some oceans. The typical idea of a M class planet came to my mind. So the worlds are styled earth-like, but this does not mean they are like Earth.

As you perhaps know, the "home butler" of the Greystones, Serge, has revealed some information about the Colonies on Twitter. It is hard to decide if I will take īem into my work or not.

I have found "his" capital cities today, and I will post them next to my ideas.
Colony (Serge, my idea)

Aerilon (Gaoth, Lancastria City)
Aquaria ( - , Aquaria City)
Canceron (Hades, Esclethios)
Caprica (Caprica City, Caprica City)
Gemenon (Oranu, Acaranopion)
Leonis (Luminere, Foreman)
Libran ( ? , Libris Bay)
Picon (Queenstown, Katharrus City)
Sagittaron (Tawa, Hellaspont)
Scorpia (Celeste, Scorpios)
Tauron (Tauron City, Neandra)
Virgon (Boskirk, Avankaria)

I still do not know if I will "mix up" both "systems" or take over Sergeīs (official?) information. You see, not easy!

Kmprīrak
03-20-2010, 06:05 PM
Sagittaron! The next will be Picon!

Kmprīrak
03-20-2010, 06:57 PM
Like promised, Picon!

Last night I overthought and redesigned "my" idea of a Colonial system. I tried to put different ideas together. Heree you can take a look.

I will also "refresh" my Colonial Almanac!

Kmprīrak
03-22-2010, 08:13 PM

And today, Scorpia!

Kmprīrak

The Colonial Flags I did for my book. Not outrageous, but I am proud I did it with Photoshop! :-D

Kmprīrak
03-26-2010, 03:45 PM
I refined it a little bit, one with and the other without shadows. Better?

Kmprīrak
03-26-2010, 03:47 PM
And some of my "refreshed" work, here Gemenon as example!

I put away the small flags next to the intro facts and put the sign of the colony there!

Kmprīrak
04-10-2010, 07:29 PM
Idea for a collection magazine!

Kmprīrak
04-27-2010, 06:34 PM
Work goes on on the Almanac. Actually sitting on the Picon weather!

Kmprīrak
05-14-2010, 06:21 PM
Some new stuff, overworked for another time since I did these shots, but only to show you some new things!

Kmprīrak
07-16-2010, 06:16 PM
First pages of the magazine. Issue 1 will be a test issue with elements from the book and other things from my work!

As I already posted some of my tables about rotations and orbital periods of the colonies, I have now tried to start calculating the different planetary times and calendars compared to the standard yahren or year the colonists use.

Pretty much work, and the other planets are also still to be done.
But it is nice that I now can say that e.g. 1 Picon year is about 2.11140 standard years and that a Picon year has 741.1 standard days and 630.35 planetary days. And that for all colonies.

Well, not a trace of canon or official, but working for my Almanac.

Kmprīrak
08-15-2010, 07:30 PM
I have finished the calculations for the other worlds. I will post something related soon for the few ones who are interested in.

Some work to renovate the basic layout with vector graphics!

Kmprīrak
01-17-2011, 06:56 PM
And a logo for a possible colony name Emilon I did some years ago for a certain Bolian Admiral, now as a vector graphic!
