By far I chose Battlestar Galactica:
Great story, cast, acting and come on! A good spin-off like Caprica. You can't go wrong.

Another great and interesting sci fi show is The (x) Files. It was created by Chris carter an was aired in 1993 and ran for 9 years and has produced 2 films. It is a show about a believer (Mulder) and a sceptic (scully) who both work for the FBI and have assigned to one another to investigate the x files (unsolved cases). It has an elaborate plot and has some gruesome monsters. the mythology episodes however involve Mulder and Scully and their pursuit of extra terrestrials and the government which hope to lie and protect themselves. Sheldon : ) fight the future, trust no one, believe the lie, believe to understand, there watching and I want to believe.

Folks I voted for other, as a Dr Who fan, as I started viewing from the original TV 60's show in glorious black and white. The longest Sci Fi show I think?

For me it's Fringe, Life on Mars (UK, but it's more fantastic) and Taken (Spielberg).
