This is a design for a Gorn ship I created myself. I didn't like the ship from the remastered "Arena" episode.

I have made this ship with the look of the ship more over the practicality. This is how I perceive an alien civilisation like the Gorn would make their ships. There's no turbolifts, just stairs and ladders to keep the crew fit. The antimatter pods are very close to the warpcore. I don't imagine health and safety is the foremost concern in their ship design.

I tired to add an attachment of it but it won't work. If you go to this linkhttp://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/323/1/b/gorn_ship_cross_section_by_goanimator-d335px5.png and click on download you can view it at a higher resolution

My friend said this ship looks like a frog mated with a Ferengi Marauder

Hi SOLARBABY,
for some reason, I think it's the file format that stops you from uploading an attachment.
I've tried a few things myself with your image and the best result I achieved was with a jpg version of your image or by doing a very small alteration in photoshop then re-saving it.

What software do you use to make your images?

BTW great work on the msd.

Smooth, like 2309. I would make the callout pointers a different color from that of the outline, use a variety of colors for the callout text, and change some of the spelling/word forms.

Poweer --> Power
Cargoo --> Cargo
Sleeping Chamber --> Sleep Chamber
Sub Commmand --> Subcommand

Thanks,
I used flash CS5. I haven't had a problem uploading PNGs before. I have attached some old graphics of the ship from different angles. I know the Obliques aren't technically accurate. I'm not very good without a model to reference and I made these in photoshop CS3 about 2 years ago before I learned to draw better with my graphic tablet and flash.

I originally had the ship colours on the MSD in greens and blue and I liked the colours. Even though they are not LCARS colours. What do you think of having greens on an alien MSD?

I have to say, it could be a typical Gorn design!

It's okay to use green in MSDs, but the colors you choose should be built from R, G, and B values that are multiples of 51 dec (33 hex). Here are three examples:

I had a little fun changing it to TOS era, which is when my design was based

Cool thing, but please put the lines under the designation "buttons" and check if they are all really in the middle (I mean the designations within the boxes!).

I definately like the TOS version, it looks like a TOS tactical display or something.
