Hi everyone

Recently my computers been acting up so I managed to send this brief message. I recently, from eBay, bought a Star Trek Voyager/ Deep Space Nine/ First Contact/ Insurrection Phaser replica to replace the resin one I ordered in August last year. I'm really excited and have ordered electronics too. I hope to send images of my progress as I paint it. I have thought long and hard and decided that the Voyager look seems better eg green power indicator and silver trigger, not RED!
The power indicator starts off green and as it progresses to the second level it changes to yellow and then red, the colours blend/ bleed and give it the First Contact look with a red and yellow indicator. There's no way of avoiding that but I'm still going to choose the silver trigger and DARK metallic silver for the body.
This cost in total £160 and I'm waiting for it to arrive here in England (obviously because I live here). This is my last chance to create a decent phaser replica there fore I'm researching all colours and how glossy the body actually is to make it realistic there are several videos on Youtube here's one in particular this is what I want it to look like!

Wish me luck, and keep a look out on eBay, Forbidden Planet, and efx for new news and other trek replicas, you might find something you like!

Bazinga peeps and keep on trekking!

As I said this is what I want it to look like. The kit was supplied by stapleton productions.

Well here it is, photos of my Star Trek Voyager Phaser and all its different components including electronics, a rubber hand grip and the trigger and power buttons.

The yellow plastic wallet contains hologram paper to place under the firing emitter these were provided by the seller and are coloured blue with different designs. The two clear pieces of plastic are the power indicators which when joined together make one to fit in the rectangular hole at the top. And of course there the bottom hatch and screws to put it all together.

The electronics as you can see have a red LED for the beam and the power indicator starts off in the top left hand side and when increased to a higher level the second line turns red. Although this is not entirely realistic, its still pretty cool and besides it did cost a lot of money.

Well I hope you guys like it and I will keep you updated on my progress. The kit itself was purchased on eBay so keep an eye out because they might have something you want

Sheldon - wish me luck as my previous phaser was a catastrophe!

Sheldon, the electronic photo's are superb and nicely large to see it all. The three attachments as Deief is refering to 5886 - 5888 produce page errors. Cool work though.
