Hi guys I'm a little new here, and I was wondering what all of this was all about. I joined because I live Star Trek, and I saw the excellent LCARS here, and I was wondering why people were doing this. Thanks for the replies.

i was always fascinated about the LCARS concept Mike Okuda has created. and i love scifi and star trek. so everything started. there is much room for your own imagination, because star trek isn't a locked story. there are hunderts of different species and thousands of different worlds. and even on the shows there are white spots you can fill with your own ideas.
that's why i started to do my stuff here. i love to do this graphics and it helps me to display my creative side, and at the other hand it is great to enrich the star trek universe with things, that no man has seen before....
