Default [poll] What is the Best Star Trek Game?

"Star Trek: Elite Force I, II" I loved modding for EF2 but I had way more fun playing EF1.

I would have to say Elite Force 2, although EF1 was the better game in may ways EF2 was graphically superior, to me graphics are one of the most important features in a game.

Elite Force I was an entertaining game with a great storyline, and another great bonus was the voice acting from the Voyager Cast.

Elite Force II while good, didn't have the same "punch" that the original had, though the graphics were pretty darn good!!.

The best attribute for a game has to be the Replayability, I play BC and EF again and again without getting bored, mainly in thanks to the great storylines of these games!!

I would have to say ST:Bridge Commander or ST:SF Command 3. Activision may not be making a sequel, but a group of modders are making a game that takes the best aspects of all star trek games and then releasing it as a free download. Its called Star Trek Excalibur and it looks amazing! The graphics are great from what shots have been released, and the gameplay is supposed to be mostly in the bridge, like BC, but if you are fighting someone, they can beam over to your ship and attack from there, but then you can go and start shooting at them to keep them from killing your ship from the inside. You will also be able to go to places like engineering, sick bay, or the mess hall and also beam down to planets and conduct away missions. It won't be released for a couple of years, but when it is released, it will be a sight to behold.

Edit: For those of you that mod, I think that a mod for Star Trek games that involve direct interaction with LCARS to accomplish some tasks would make an amazing mod. And looking at the LCARS on this sight this looks like the ideal place to start it.

Default [poll] What is the Best Star Trek Game?

The Fallen is the best Star Trek game ever. The characters are extremely real (except for some missing actors), the gameplay is realistic, and the story is just plain fun.

I like EF1 the second-most. It may not have good graphics, but there is emotion and artwork put into the characters, good weapons, and an actual believable storyline.

EF2 has a graphically superior engine, but I feel that Ritual were very slipshod in the fact that there's little to no science involved, there are only three actual actors from the actual shows (Timothy Russ, Patrick Stewart, and Dwight Schultz), and they put nearly no specific traits into any traits other than Picard, Munro, Kleeya, Telsia, and Tuvok. All the other characters just walk around,. turn abruptly, and move their chins in random directions when speaking. They also completely ripped off the storyline form The Fallen.

I'm not that much into Bridge Commander. All I feel able to do is sit in a chair and click things. The ship moves super slowly, the fights are super long, and the characters have a mouth animation loop. After that crap I stopped playing.

    Legacy should be named Legashit.

I liked Armada I but I haven't played it in like five years because it crashes when I open multiplayer and it goes superslow (like the game speed is set to -9000 and I can't change it) when I try singleplayer.

And Armada II is awful. Worse graphics than the original, unbelievable (in a bad way) balancing between races, and a pathetic storyline.

Does anybody have an opinion about Tactical Assault on the DS?

Have to agree with most of comments about EF1 & 2, though my personal preference is for EF2 simply for improved graphics. Of course game I consider best is Bridge Commander simply because I spend so much time creating mods and bridges for it. I agree it has limitations and drawbacks, but considering how old it is and graphic engine uses, it's pretty astounding we're still able to push envelope on it and come up with new ideas. My dream game would be combination of BC and EF1 (with EF2 graphics), which is kinda what Excalibur is promising...as and when it's finished and released.
