    Default Prometheus Bridge Displays

    It's that time again.
I'm now starting a new set of LCARS, this time it's the amazing Prometheus.

This will be entertaining to do because of all the different types of LCARS they had on this bridge. This was definitely one of the worse kitbash of displays, the production staff ever did for a bridge. Purple, pink, and many other horrific pastel colours. I'll try my best to reproduce them as canon as possible, but lets face it, not that many reference material available for a ship that appeared only once.

Lets start with the Conn/Helm. Luckily this one (at least part of it) was seen unboard the fake federation ship Dauntless in the episode "Hope and Fear".

    Enjoy.

    Thanks Bill.
Now here's the MSD. This one I'm proud of. Way better than my last version. Colors and such are way more canon. Overall a great msd in my opinion.

    Enjoy.

    Very smooth, as always.

I don't have a screencap handy to check at the moment, but my offhand recollection of the on-screen version is that the outline was #99CCFF and the deck lines were #6699CC. And I do remember the landing struts being #FF9966. I also vaguely remember the published version, in some kind of purple and yellowish scheme.

You might be right for the colours, but I find that #6699CC is too dark to look good and that #99CCFF was too blue.

I' ve attached a screencaps of how it looks. You can see that the colours for the outline is a lighter blue and and the deck lines are very visible, too visible to be so dark. Although I could be wrong. As for the landing struts, you are probably right but I haven't seen a clear enough picture to think otherwise.

Actually, its a light blue. I might have over did the lighting effect. But I'm still happy. I've attache a picture without the lighting.

    Thanks guys.

I drew in two rectangles on this screencap (#9999FF and #9999CC) for comparison, and the landing struts are there but hard to see clearly. That whitish color might be #CCCCFF. At least, that's what I use as LCARS white.

explorer, beutifully interpreted. good use of colours indeed.

When I prodioced my version many years ago I had the same delemma because they used 'many other horrific pastel colours' just to quote you.

I did though, base mine on the image from the ST Encyclopedia, and then try my best like you to try and clean up the colours, but keeping as much as possible to the one shown in the episode.

Here's the one from the ST Encyclopedia:

    Thanks guys,
yeah it is a lot of work to get the exact colours, but I'm happy with how it came out.

Here's the next panel. Wall displays. It's the one exactly to the right of the msd. You'll notice that it is comprise of 3 styles and scheme.

fig. 006 has a typical animated LCARS with a simple static LCARS using the Voyager colours.

fig. 007 a simple static LCARS re-using elements and colours from the prometheus conn. Also two typical animated displays; bio-circuity diagnostics and scan analysis.

fig. 008 is another exemple of re-use LCARS. This particular screen is seen many times. At the excat same location on the Equinox bridge and right under the msd of the Enterprise-E in First Contact and Insurrection. The amazing thing is, that no matter how many times we seen it, I can never find some good reference material.

    Enjoy.

    Here's the next panel.

    From top to bottom:

fig. 009 is composed of 2 animated screens: Magnetic integrity and systems integrity chk. The first one I'm not sure exacty what it is. It might not even be the right name, if anybody as good screencaps of this screen, I would really appreciate it. As for the integrity chk. It's very similar to the usual one except that the ship is light blue (or white) instead of orange.

fig. 010 was pretty easy to do. It's a spacious design using the Voyager colour scheme and featuring two simple static LCARS. Once again, I had to improvise, but I'm pretty sure it matches the show.

fig. 011 was the hard one. Again although seen any many episodes (VOY: Message in a Bottle), movies (Insurrection and First Contact) and Games (Star Trek: Borg), it was very difficult to find a good clear reference of the entire panel. I again improvise and I'm very happy with the look. Again, this panel as a different colour scheme. Using the FC LCARS colours.

    Enjoy.
