Default New MSD Request: Excalibur-Class Starship

    Hello again, everyone!!

Yes, I have another MSD Request. And once again, it's a Starship from Star Trek Online.

This time, it's the Excalibur-Class Cruiser, a Tier-2 ship whose design could be considered an update to the famous Constitution Class.

Here's the best profile image I could get of the thing:

My other request, a Dual Request which can be found here, is still open and up for grabs. However, I wanted to see an MSD of this ship, too, so I'm putting a request for it out here.

So, anyone up for doing this thing?

Whoever designed it should learn a lot more before going on with it.

    You are quite probably correct.

So, Here is the article I found on the ship on the Star Trek Online Geekipedia.

It is a matter of taste, but well, the design is not really a great piece of art. And commanded by Lt Cmdrs? Okay ...

I personally find it a rather interesting-looking ship.

However, as for it being commanded by Lieutenant Commanders, I'm inclined to agree. I personally feel that it should have been at least a T3 Vessel (and commanded by Commanders), but it's definitely a decent design.

So, anyone up for making an MSD of the thing?

why don't you try to do it yourself? i'm shure, it will be a great experience, if you do so.

do be honest, i'm peronally not really motivated to do this ship as MSD. i'm still engaged with my longterm project to finalize the runabout console graphics, and somebody here is waiting since a long time, that i do another MSD for him - it's still in progress. and then there are others waiting, that i fullfill my promises to them. so i would be struggling to start another project right now - and i have a busy real life with family and job beside this, you know?

back to the excalibur-class. to do a proper graphic, you would need a high res side view. the one you have isn't very helpful, but your can try to use it. for a more or less accurate outline it would be sufficient. i really like to encourage you to give it a try yourself.

If I could, I assure you, I would.

To be honest, my skill at art is fairly low.

The only art program I can use with any reasonable degree of skill is Adobe Illustrator, which would probably be perfect for MSD work--however, I do not have it installed on my computer, and I doubt that I have the necessary funds to purchase it.

So, my only option for getting MSDs is to ask other people to do them.

I'm sorry that you don't feel motivated to give this a try, and I wish you luck on your other projects.

    Is Anderson still around?

Sorry, I ain't touching that. That's a horrible dessign. No offense intended.

It's okay, Anderson. To each his own, I suppose.

However, I still have another request going, if you're interested.

Anyway, is anyone else interested in doing this particular MSD?

You should try on your own, maybe the result is not the best at first, but by time you will learn!
